About Dr Duncan

Dr Duncan consults privately from the Northern Specalist Centre at North Shore Private. In addition to this he is a part time staff specialist at Royal North Shore Hospital and a VMO at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Dr Russell Duncan is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). He completed his Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney where he undertook an additional two year post graduate fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery through the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES). He also trained at the Royal Darwin Hospital, Gosford Hospital and Canterbury Hospital.

Prior to completing his medical degree at Melbourne University, Russell undertook a science degree with research honors which involved work in research laboratories. This gave him an excellent foundation in and understanding of evidence-based medicine.

He understands the importance of personalized care and does not take a “one size fits all” approach, treating each patient as an individual.

Dr Duncan can offer non-surgical and surgical management of all gynaecological conditions. He is able to treat all other gynaecological conditions and offers both office based medical management as well as surgical when required.  He is proficient in vaginal and open surgery as well as minimally invasive (Laparoscopic and Robotic) and will tailor your operation to your individual situation.

Dr Duncan operates at North Shore Private, Mater Hospital as well as Prince of Wales Private Hospital and St Luke’s Hospital has public lists at Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospital.
